HCB Rural and Land Management is a family owned business which began operations in December 2014. Based in Singleton, NSW, we extend our services across the Hunter Valley, including Singleton, Muswellbrook, Denman, Scone, Maitland, Newcastle, Gresford, Dungog and surrounds.

Management and staff provide our customers with a diverse range of skills and knowledge in the rural and mining sectors.

Locally Owned – Servicing the Hunter

The team at HCB Rural and Land Management are the cornerstone of our business.
We encourage and expect at all times our team to work safely, efficiently and professionally.

Manager, Heath Brock, commenced his working life in the rural sector, working with beef cattle, sheep, thoroughbred horses, pasture production and irrigation, acquiring knowledge and skills in fencing, timber cutting, weed control, general farm maintenance, livestock husbandry and farm management.

Following this Heath spent fifteen years in the coal mining industry employed as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic gaining a solid grounding in safe work practices and project management.

Practical skills, know how, determination and attention to detail from a management level are key to HCB Rural and Land Management’s high standards of work.

Relevant formal qualifications and experience include:

  • Advanced Certificate in Agriculture from CB Alexander Agricultural College
  • Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • Cert III in Surface Rescue
  • National Licence to Perform High Risk Work – Classes C6, DG, WP, CV, LF CN
  • White Card – Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • Workcover OH and S Consultation
  • Statement of Attainment in Assessor Training
  • ChemCert Accreditation
  • EPA Ground Applicator’s License
  • LHPA accredited 1080/Pindone User and Canid Pest Ejectors
  • Vertebrate Pest Management Course, Tocal
  • Trim and Cut Felled Trees, “Profarm”
  • Australian Game Meat Hygiene and Handling, TAFE
  • Category A and B NSW Firearms License/Permit
  • Member of the Rural Fire Brigade

Administration support is provided by Cheryl Brock.

Like Heath, Cheryl has a trade qualification and experience working in the mining sector but has also enjoyed working on rural properties, carrying out a variety of duties. The love of rural life and interest in improving their own property led to the completion of an Advanced Diploma in Farm Management through the University of Sydney.

Relevant formal qualifications and experience include:

  • Advanced Diploma of Farm Management
  • Trade qualified Electrical Mechanic
